7 things that will soon become obsolete (and we will lose money spent on purchasing them)

Many of the things we take for granted today may disappear forever in the very near future.

Yes, so far it’s hard to believe … But try to remember – when was the last time you inserted an audio cassette into a tape recorder or rented a video film?

But relatively recently, these (and many other) things were used by almost every one of us .

“Victims” of new technologies

We buy things, spend our money on it – and after a while these things become obsolete and become useless to anyone.

Products of the “digital age” become obsolete especially quickly: gadgets, programs, accessories, etc.

Here are some things that are still with us (but which are slowly but surely disappearing from our daily use):

1) Business cards

More recently, business cards were an integral part of business etiquette.

But when was the last time you exchanged paper business cards?

Today, contacts are transmitted via instant messengers and e-mail (which is also rapidly losing its former relevance).

2) Paper geographic maps

Thanks to the Internet and smartphones with GPS navigators, paper maps now seem like an unnecessary rarity.

But so far, sometimes they still benefit us – helping to enlarge the view of a large territory and orient ourselves in space.

3) Calculators

Despite the obvious convenience of their use in calculations and calculations, calculators are gradually fading into oblivion.

Voice assistants can easily cope with any mathematical operations – all you need to do is say: “Hello, Alice” or “OK, Google”.

By the way, do you still remember the multiplication table? To be honest, I often forget it.

4) Car keys (and apartment)

If you recently bought a new car, you may have never used a key to open a door and start the engine.

Because a modern car has no keys!

It is not for nothing that the car is now called “a large smartphone on wheels.”

A similar unenviable fate will soon befall the keys to the locks to the front doors of our apartments and offices.

5) Alarm clocks and music players

Smartphones “kill” them right before our eyes.

Why have many different specialized gadgets (and spend money on their purchase), if now they are collected all together “in one bottle”?

6) Paper magazines and newspapers

Every year, an increasing number of printed publications either stop coming out altogether, or completely go online.

7) Shopping centers

Yes Yes!

They, too, will face the sad fate of being “eaten” by OZONs and AMAZONs, which have a huge online storefront, the option of fast delivery “to your home” and the possibility of fitting / replacement.
