Milind Soman believes that Films should be an Experience, with or without a Message

Actor Milind Soman believes that films should deliver a new and unique experience to the audience, rather than solely focusing on imparting a message. He states that his latest release, “Lakadbaggha,” is the perfect combination of both elements.

Soman, who has acting credits that include “16 December,” “Rules: Pyaar Ka Superhit Formula,” and “Bajirao Mastani,” said that the upcoming film is a never-before-seen spectacle for viewers. He emphasized that a film should be an experience and it should be fresh, new and something that the audience has not seen before in terms of the story, characters, and premise. He said the message of the film is secondary.

“Lakadbaggha” is an action vigilante film set in Kolkata that deals with illegal animal trade. The story revolves around the character of Arjun Bakshi, played by Anshuman Jha, who is a martial arts teacher and a savior of street dogs. Soman plays Jha’s father, who is a Krav Maga expert and teaches his son everything he knows about martial arts. This is the first time that Soman has played a father on screen.

The film marks the big-screen debut of TV star Ridhi Dogra and it is directed by Victor Mukherjee. The movie is set to release on Friday. Up next for Soman is Kangana Ranaut’s film “Emergency,” in which he will play Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw in the period drama. Soman finds it interesting that several films about the 1971 war hero Manekshaw are set to be released in the near future.
