OnePlus is all set to launch its new flagship smartphone, the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro, in China on August 16. Ahead of the launch, the company has been teasing the phone’s specifications through Weibo.
The OnePlus Ace 2 Pro is confirmed to come with 24GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. This makes it the first phone in the world to come with 24GB of RAM. The RAM is produced by SK Hynix and is said to be able to keep 54 apps active and allow 41 apps to run in the background for up to 72 hours.
The OnePlus Ace 2 Pro will also be powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and will come with a 6.74-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The display will also have a hole punch cutout for the selfie camera.
For photography, the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro will have a triple-camera rear system consisting of a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP ultrawide sensor, and a 2MP macro sensor. The phone will also have a 16MP selfie camera.
The OnePlus Ace 2 Pro will be backed by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 150W SuperVOOC fast charging. The phone will run on Android 13 out of the box and will have a custom skin on top.
The OnePlus Ace 2 Pro is likely to succeed the OnePlus Ace Pro that debuted last year. The price of the phone is not yet known, but it is expected to be priced around 5,000 yuan (around $740).
